2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.”

This verse is very encouraging for many reasons, but especially for the promise that says “…in every place.” “IN EVERY PLACE!” which also means God is saying that life is full of adventures.

My mission trip to Africa didn’t happen this fall so we went to Crete instead. I’d like to share this story from our trip to Greece. In the last 4 days of our trip, it was very high wind and rain and we also were relocating from one side of the island to another. We are always staying in the places where we can cook our own food, so we went to a Mini Market to buy some groceries including eggs. They didn’t have eggs and I asked an attendant if they had eggs. A middle-aged gentleman came out and said that they don’t have eggs at this moment, but he can help. He walked out with us to a parking lot and asked that we sit in the car and drive with him as it’s only 3 minutes away to get some eggs. So, we went.

Little did I know, he brought us to his home and gave us eggs and requested that we sit down and wait for him in the backyard. A few minutes later, he walked out of his house bringing some honey, cheese, and some drinks and wanted to chat with us. Four hours later we knew everything about each other and became very good friends.

During the conversation, Kostas, our new friend, said that he would like to invite us the next day to the Mini Market, which he owns, where he traditionally celebrates his birthday and serves the whole village people with some food.

The next day, me and my wife Natasha went and got a birthday gift for Kostas and made our way to the Mini Market.

That’s where the story started to unfold!

We handed him the gift and Kostas served some food and at the same time he mentioned that one of his workers, Maria, is suffering from a long-standing neck issue and asked me to have a look at her neck. So, I did, and obviously adjusted her.

In a couple of minutes, Maria brought her co-worker and then another woman with chest and mid back pain, I adjusted them as well.

A few minutes later, they brought their husbands with low back pain and legs issues. And I adjusted them too. 4 hours later, almost every person who walked to the birthday celebration got adjusted.

The cool thing is that, most of those people couldn’t even speak English and Kostas just tried to translate to the best of his abilities. By day’s end, the whole village got adjusted.

Another cool thing is that they had no idea what chiropractic is or what it does!

The next day was a repeat! Everyone got adjusted!

Natasha said later, “here you go Dmitri, you got your mission trip here!”

Here is what we learned:

  • God is always at work, even changing weather for making things happen.
  • We don’t have to be worried to step in the unknown journey with some strangers. Christ’s love helps us to love those strangers and journeys.
  • Mission is everywhere “in every place”!
  • “God leads us in triumph in Christ” so we just need to fall in love with the adventure that He prepared for us and is calling us into.
  • Be open to trust that God is in control, no matter what country, weather conditions, or circumstances we are in, always.

Here is my encouragement to you, if you are reading this newsletter then you are in the right place at Healthy Kids & Family Chiropractic. You may not know or understand the future, just fall in love with the adventures that God has prepared for us and all will be amazing, according to His will!

Trust me, I have seen this many times and that’s how I learned to follow His lead in my life!

Love ya and May God bless you abundantly,
