“…whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

If you are a mom or a dad, who is reading this newsletter, or even just a person who had any interaction with kids, you may appreciate the complexity of birth, delivery, up-bringing and development of children. I am always a fascinated by children. There is so much more to birth and growth and development that we currently know.  Many scientists believe that we will never be able to completely understand the complexity of it, and I agree. Every child is a GIFT to us and it’s a walking, talking MIRACLE, and one of the biggest BLESSING to be a parent.

On one of the conferences where we share our experiences with sponsored children through Compassion International, we came to the conclusion that our interaction with those children is the most influential thing in their lives.

All they need is LOVE!

One doctor shared her heart and her experience on one the mission trips. She was saying that when she went on the mission trip she expected to meet her sponsored child and she couldn’t wait for it, instead one woman with a photograph approached her in the slums and asked her “Are you the one who is feeding my kids?” She was shocked because this woman broke into tears, trying to explain that it’s not her fault, she works, etc. There was so much guilt and sorrow. For this chiropractor, it was 35- 40 bucks a month, but the family on the other end of the Earth questions whether they will make it alive or not this month.

Another doctor shared that one of his practice members showed up at the office so pumped and excited and tells her chiropractor that she got back from the Dominican Republic, and doctor is like “Well did you have a nice trip?” and the patient says “No, you don’t understand, I went to visit my sponsored children!” They have met. Tears, joy, love, appreciation and all other emotions came up. It’s so beautiful.

Life taught me so many things. We have an adopted son and 2 sponsored children in Dominican Republic, we have sponsored orphanages, I am currently sponsoring a church in Cuba, etc. It’s not about bragging about good deeds, but to share our lives together. I learned “That there are always people in the world who would take my problems and see them as a blessing!” I am so much more thankful in everything.

I also learned that “There are much more people in the world who helped me and my family, than those who tried to hurt us.” Even if I didn’t understand their intentions at that point.

I also learned that every blessing that I received is not for me but it is for me to share with others; you! I am also learning to remember this: “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” – 2 Corinthians 9:6.

There is nothing more enjoyable to be an adjustment for this world knowing that you touched someone’s life, saved it, helped to heal it, loving someone, giving some one something that they desperately need.
