In the book of Mark, (in the Bible) the disciples were amazed that Jesus had the power over the waves. In fact, everyone in the boat had a hard time with Jesus because they had a lack of faith and understanding.
Mark 4:39-41
39 Jesus got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
Jesus, was also a spiritual Wave. His presence was a wave. Look at this example that His presence alone, just presence, makes a demon possessed man run and kneel in front of Jesus begging for forgiveness and salvation.
Mark 5:6-9
6 When the man saw Jesus in the distance, he ran up to him and knelt down. 7 He shouted, “Jesus, Son of God in heaven, what do you want with me? Promise me in God’s name that you won’t torture me!” 8 The man said this because Jesus had already told the evil spirit to come out of him. 9 Jesus asked, “What is your name?” The man answered, “My name is Lots, because I have ‘lots’ of evil spirits.” 10 He then begged Jesus not to send them away.
Jesus came to change the world, save people from fear and guilt. “How does that help me in my life?” you may ask.
God gave us life to come and help change the world by creating waves. Me and You were created to make those waves by speaking the truth and taking care of people around you and your family. Your words may change the attitude of your boss who may not take care of himself when you tell them “I need to stay healthy” or “I need to leave 1 hour early to get adjusted” or “I need ½ the day off for my Mid-Term or Annual Report with my health care provider/chiropractor.”
They may not like it and even give you a hard time, but deep inside, they are jealous that you are fighting for your life. They respect your choice and they even want to be like you, but they are PARALYZED by FEAR to do what you are doing for yourself. YOU fighting for yourself may ACCIDENTALLY SAVE THEIR LIFE! You SET THEM FREE by living life without fear.
How often does fear rise to speak about chiropractic care? I found that I was frightened in the beginning to speak about adjustments. Later, the more I spoke, I found that more people are looking for the TRUTH, HEALTH, VITALITY, and FREEDOM than those who want to deceive you (by the way, deceivers will always be around). I focus on people like you, those who are seeking the truth.
Creating WAVES in life; it is the only way to experience true, authentic life. Without those WAVES, disciples would never experience the power of God, would never believe, and would never be free. I will speak for myself as a Christian, I believe that by following Jesus and creating some WAVES, FREEING PEOPLE from FEAR and allowing Jesus to be in control of those WAVES, that’s how we can change the world and live happy and healthy lives.
I don’t know how big those WAVES need to be, but I know HE DOES! I have a choice, HE HAS CONTROL! I am glad in it, because I don’t know the future, but HE KNOWS!
So “Do not be afraid!” telling the truth and fighting for yourself. By doing this, you may change or even save someone’s life. WAVES are good, surf on them!
Because: 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13
